Full Description
April 1978. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description:
House. 18th century remodelling of earlier house. Rendered brick with reed thatched roof; some fragments of timber frame in external walls. 1½ storeys, lobby entrance plan. Symmetrical front elevation with two 3-light casement windows, one with transom. Central doorway with segmental head. Central chimney stack on ridge line. Parapeted gables. Later lean-to at rear; two swept dormers in north slope of roof. Winding stair beside stack in entrance lobby. On west side of stack, one jowled post and arch-brace to tie beam. Beam end and arch-brace removed for door opening on south side. Butt purlin roof with cambered collars.
