Summary

Fieldwalking in 1985 by the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of medieval pottery sherds across this field, as well as much other rubbish. A sparse concentration of medieval pottery sherds, shell, animal bone, and some post medieval rubbish was also noted on the edge of what may be a medieval track.

Context 1 = general scatter medieval sherds across field as well as much other rubbish in a notebook. TSC AV.
Context 2 at 5305 1943. Concentration sparse medieval pottery, moderate shell, very sparse animal bone, very sparse post medieval rubbish. On edge medieval? track. 32m x 22m minimum because of strip of winter wheat adjacent to
road. TSC 10.
