Full Description
1908.
'Since writing the above I have collected fragments of 76 British Roman vessels, pieces chiefly found in a very small space in Beachamwell 2 miles north of the Caldecote enclosure, some pieces very delicately and gracefully shaped and ornamented'.
See (S1) quoted in (S2), seen via A. Rogerson (NAU).
Other reports of Rev Nightingale show that he seems to have identified Saxon and Prehistoric material as 'Roman' so dating is suspect.
E. Rose (NAU) 16 December 1985.
