Full Description
8 October 1985. Staff fieldwork. Found on disturbed surface of sand in process of being bulldozed prior to construction of dual carriageway of A11 road.
Flint flake 7.5cm long. Grey, lustrous unpatinated flint. Prominent butt and cone of percussion. Modern damage on one side. This was the only artefact seen in walking the entire length of the road works in both directions, from the east side of Peddar's Way to a little west of the point where this flake was found, and conditions for collecting were good.
Identified by J.J.Wymer (NAU) 16 December 1985.
