Listed as The Almonds and The Cottage and wrongly placed in Mill Street.
February 1986, Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description:
Former farmhouse, now two dwellings. Late 16th century extended early 18th century refaced 1900. Timber frame, brick faced to front, rendered to rear. Tile roof. Two storeys. Modern façade reuses six 18th century windows. South gable wall late 17th century with two blocked oval windows Rear lean-to has 17th century brickwork. Off centre axial and one gable end stacks. Interior has timber frame of heavy scantling with wide chamfers and stepped run but stops. Jowled wallposts and slightly cambered ties with one surviving arched brace. 17th century added bay with ogee and nicked stops. Four repositioned late 17th century wavy stair balusters. Modern roof.
