Full Description
Possible moat.
Feature marked on 1957 6 inch Ordnance Survey map (unrevised since before 1930) as a broad northeast to southwest waterfilled feature, narrow wiggly projection to northwest corner, another at southwest corner with slight suggestion of return towards northeast. Tithe map 1841 (S1) shows as same but with more of this return as if of fourth side of moat. Destroyed in about 1930 by farmer.
A. Rogerson (NAU) considers it likely to have been a moat.
E. Rose (NAU), 7 February 1986.
