Summary

Fieldwalking and metal-detecting between 1986 and 2022 recovered Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds (including a possible Grimston ware waster); medieval and post-medieval coins and a number of other, Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Bronze Age sword fragment; a Roman brooch; a Late Saxon/medieval mount; medieval buckles, a belt mount, strap clasp, a harness fitting, harness or casket mount, horse harness pendant and lead seal matrix and a post-medieval buckle and mount.

January 1986. Metal detecting and fieldwalking.
Part of copper alloy gilt buckle. See (S1).
Harness or casket mount, enamelled copper alloy, mittelalterlichschildformiger or and azur chequy, 14th - 15th century.
Thirty Thetford type sherds, probably all Grimston.
Thirty medieval unglazed probably including some Grimston-Thetford.
Thirty-three glazed Grimston one of which has glaze run over the fracture suggesting it is a waster.
