Full Description
16 - 17 December 1985. Found with metal detector about 91m (100 yards) apart.
Bronze strap end, openwork, traces of gilding, unfinished? Two panels below an interlace border, one containing an ox, on a bird? (mythological) or horse and rider? Metal to be analysed at British Museum, (S1).
10th century type.
Joined with superglue.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
