Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1985 recovered a copper alloy animal head terminal from a brooch and a copper alloy hooked tag with ring and dot decoration. Both these finds were of Saxon date, with the tag being from the latter part of the period.

Copper alloy hooked tag with ring and dot decoration, no holes for attachment, top (?) cut off. Late Saxon date, (S2).
