Summary

A row of three timber framed buildings which were demolished in 1989. Before their demolition the buildings were dated to about 1300 with various later alterations. The site has now been redeveloped, and a number of medieval and post medieval finds were recovered during the building work.

Originally apparently three timber framed properties, one on street frontage and two conjoining separated to rear; remnants of scissor truss roof dated by P. Short to about 1300, and timber framed walls. Extension to north in 16th century now demolished. Space between two blocks infilled probably in 18th century when facade block modernised.
