Summary

Fieldwalking in 1986 by the Fenland Survey recovered medieval pottery sherds from across this area, as well as noting a small concentration of medieval pottery set on a slight rise, undoubtedly a roddon.

3 March 1986. Fieldwalking on weathered soil with young winter cereal.
Context 1: odd medieval sherds over field.
Context 2 at 5840 1401: small concentration medieval pottery set on slight rise, undoubtedly a roddon. Much post medieval rubbish and not enough medieval to be certain this is a medieval concentration. WSG AT (S1).
