Summary

This is the site of a mill built in 1840-5, and last used in 1900. By 1985 the top of the mill had been removed, and the base was being used for a store. The attached house was of brick and probably dated to the 18th century, and retained fittings such as ovens and bells. Attached is a late 18th century dovecot of brick with a tile roof, circular in plan with an inserted floor and 193 nesting boxes.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Dovecote. Late 18th century. Brick with plain tile roof. Circular plan. Inserted floor in interior. Plain door to south. Beneath eaves one window at west and east sides. Timber eaves cornice below faceted conical roof. Plain tiles renewed 20th century.
Interior retains 193 nesting boxes."
