Summary

Fieldwalking in 1986 by the Fenland Survey recovered a small number of medieval pottery sherds scattered across this area. Further fieldwalking in 1998 recovered medieval pottery sherds and roofing tile, as well as post medieval pottery sherds.

28 March 1986. Fieldwalking on weathered ploughsoil (S1). Balsam Field, Terrington St. Clement.
Odd medieval sherds. TSC DW.
Finds in NCM.

Scatter of medieval pottery sherds (unglazed 13th/14th century sherds and 13th-15th century Grimston ware sherds).
Abundant post-medieval pottery sherds and building materials.
