Map

1986 and before for many years.
'Visible after ploughing in field opposite church and on left as you go towards Wortwell'. [1]
Large flint foundations of houses, and dark soil behind suggesting garden plots, stopping suddenly at boundary with clay soil. (Farm house actually in Wortwell parish). Informants father before him noted same features.
E. Rose (NAU), 17 April 1986.

This field shown as built over on Harleston local plan map 1987. Did the informant mean the features were visible before building, or did he in fact mean the field to the east in Wortwell parish?
E. Rose 18 (NAU), November 1987.
