Site lies between Coxford Priory and All Saints Church, Tattersett, to east of river Tat.
Rectangular earthwork measuring approximately 55m north-south x approximatley 25m east-west; stands about 1.5m above ditch bottom. Ditch broad, shallow and boggy. Possible entrance causeway to east, and hollow way surviving to the church. Whole site under pasture

July 1993.
Site seen from top of church tower. Very well preserved moat with abrupt island, under pasture. The hollow way is very interesting, curving from present farm to church, and having a ridge along the centre effectively making it two roadways (indicating a narrowing?). Cows in field.

Area boggy after wet weather with reed grass growing in moat. Depression in centre 10cms deep 1.5m diameter. Owner will check this.

Good grass cover. Minimal poaching confined to one or two boggy areas, no animal disturbance. Summer grazing will continue.
