7 April 1986. Fieldwalking weathered ploughsoil. North of Manor Farm.
Context 1 general scatter medieval sherds. KLY AG.
Context 2 at 6195 1389. Concentration of sparse late medieval pottery, very sparse shell, ditto bone. Post medieval material moderate to abundant. On top of roddon 39m east to west by 30m north to south at 2.1m OD. KLY 5.

Also Context 3 at 6178 1395. Concentration medieval pottery sparse to moderate, sparse shell, bone very very sparse. Post medieval sparse to moderate.

The field is covered by cropmarks of a chequerboard of intersecting straight dykes, two parallel possibly forming a droveway. The decision was taken in 1976 not to allocate a county number to these because they continue the alignment of the adjacent Enclosure period dykes. However they now fall within the site NHER 22511 in any case.
