Information from (S1)
May 1986.
House was said [1] to have been dated to 14th century and to be of cruck construction. Owner absent at time of visit so interior not seen, but it is clear that a cruck construction is impossible from shape. North to south wing might perhaps have upper half crucks, so called, as occasionally found in 16th/17th century buildings which this appears to be. Certainly external form of this wing suggests building is of archaeological interest in any case.
E. Rose (NAU), 7 May 1986.
