Full Description
28 April 1986. Fieldwalking winter cereal.
Context 1: general scatter medieval sherds. Site TYS CE.
Context 2: at location [1]. Sparse concentration medieval pottery, very few shells bone and a few teeth, post medieval material absent. On west side of roddon? 2.7m OD. Site TYS 51. Also two Thetford sherds.
Context 3: at location [2]. Concentration medieval pottery sparse, locally moderate, and bone sparse to moderate locally. On top and east side roddon and fall off of material on south side suggests this is a separate site from Context 2. 60m east-west x 64m north-south at up to 3m OD. Site TYS 52. Also six Late Saxon sherds; much Grimston-Thetford.
