Summary

Fieldwalking recovered prehistoric flint flakes and fragments of Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery. Observation of the construction of new electricity pylons may have recorded the presence of post medieval ditches.

Good conditions east part field under winter cereal. West part market garden, finds between rows of onions and potatoes. No concentrations.

Five flints: one blade, two flakes Neolithic/Bronze Age, one shatter piece, one very crude core not prehistoric? Identified by J.J. Wymer (NAU).
Two Roman greyware.
One rim handmade pimply Middle Saxon form.
One rim sandy Ipswich.
One sherd pimply Ipswich.
One sherd coarse sandy Ipswich.
Ten Thetford type.
Forty five medieval unglazed including early medieval.
One late medieval/transitional.
One post medieval stoneware.
Three glazed red earthenware.
One post medieval with glaze over white slip.
