Summary

An early 17th century brick and flint house with a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high with a five bay façade and has patterned brickwork on the end gables. Nearby is an early 18th century barn, built in brick with a thatched roof. It has an arched doorway, slit and honeycomb windows, and pigeon holes in the eaves.

April 1987. Listed, Grade II.
House, early 17th century brick, flint and thatch. Lobby entrance type plan. Two storeys, five bay road façade of knapped flint fragments. Rendered plinth. Open wooden porch dated 1897 on lobby entrance with another on fourth bay. 19th century sash windows with reveals and hoodmoulds rendered to resemble stone. Right hand gable stack. Gable walls red brick, some diaperwork on left hand gable, some English bond. Roof to left of stack butt purlin, right of stack staggered purlins, upper tier of slight scantling. Listing Description:
Barn. Early 18th century. Brick and thatch. Brick plinth, arched doorway. 4 bays. Pigeon-holes under the eaves with brick string-course above and below. Slit and honeycomb ventilation holes. Tie beam, collar beam; 3 tiers of butt purlins. Some straight wind braces.
