Summary

A timber framed house, dating from the early 17th century, which was completely refaced in brick in the 19th century. Many of the external features of the building are modern, but many original features survive in the interior.

February 1984. Listed, Grade II.
Farmhouse. Early 17th century timber frame. Completely refaced in brick mid 19th. Corrugated tile roof. 2 storeys. Gabled bay window with recent French doors each side; south end square, steeply pitched gable. Large ridge stack with 4 octagonal shafts on bill moulded plinth. Crosswing to north east of about 1900. All exterior details modern but interior has roll and tongue stops on spine beam, various cockshead door hinges, simple upper cruck roof with collars but only one pair survive; staggered butt purlins.
