Summary

This medieval timber framed building was once part of a longer building. There is some reused stone in the rear of the structure. The roof and rear wings were added in the 17th century. The interior was remodelled in the 18th century. It was restored in 1986.

Listing Descritpion:
C16-17 with early C18 front. Painted brick ground floor, stuccoed above with chamfered quoins, moulded string course at floor level. Modillion eaves cornice with dentils. Steep gable-ended roof with black-glazed pantiles; 2 storeys. Three windows. Sashes in exposed cases with original thick glazing bars. Off centre left doorway with fielded panel reveals and fielded panel and glazed door. Brick chimney stack at north end. Interior: C16/17 moulded beam. Ground floor good front room, early C18, panelled, with cornice; fireplace with shoulded architrave with round-headed niche on one side and panelled cupboard the other side. Two small gabled wings at rear plastered and with some timber framing.

Medieval timber framed building with traces of crownpost roof, once part of a longer building. Some reused stone to rear. New roof, rear wings etc 17th century. Also panelling. Internal remodelling 18th century. Under restoration 1986.
