Full Description
Early 17th century, rebuilt 18th century. Brick, thatched. Three stead, central west doorway blocked in brick, east doorway with rebuilt jambs and pantiled outshut over. Two square windows under eaves to east.
North gable head rebuilt with tumbling and with doorway to roof reached by external staircase. South gable similar with doorway into roof with two principal pairs under crucks, four canted collars two of which are pegged to secondary rafters; some staight windbracing. (Barn abutting to south of no particular interest). Information from (S1).
In trying to find this building on 10 September 1986, E. Rose (NAU) was directed to a heap of smoking ruins, the roof having been burnt recently. Presumably the Listing will be withdrawn.
E. Rose (NAU), 11 September 1986.
