Map

Summer 1976. Cropmarks seen from ground in parched crop, somewhere in this field, on the hillock.
Two dark circles, possibly ring-ditches.
Information from the farmer [1], who lives in the new bungalow in Wellington Plantation.
A. Gregory (NAU) 3 October 1986.

This seems to be confirmed from the OS aerial photographs - details to come.
D. Edwards (NLA) 15 April 1997.

April 2026. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
Cropmarks relating to geological patterned ground are visible across the area on aerial photographs from 2022 (S1). Although it is possible that the ring ditches (see above) could be archaeological in origin, it is equally possible that the suggested ring ditches could relate to natural features.
J. Powell (Norfolk County Council Environment Service), 28 April 2026
