Summary

This is the site of an undated ring, ditch, visible in aerial photographs. Metal detecting has recovered Roman coins, and medieval and post medieval metalwork.

September 1986. West north west of ruins of St John's Church.
On slight rise close together, found with metal detecting.
Coin of Claudius II, Antoninianus, rev PROVID AVG.
Another such with rev illegible.
Strap end of thin copper alloy, openwork and ring and dot decoration, 4th century.
Medieval belt mount, Lombardic I plain against rocker arm decorated background white metal plating.

16th century bronze hooked tag, setting for stone or glass. See [1].
