Map

Site of watermill 'just inside south gate of park' before removal in 1812 to site NHER 7657, according to Norfolk Industrial Archaeology Society note on Bure navigation (S1).
However, E. Rose thinks it may have been located a few metres (yards) further northeast, on a bend in a former road course (see NHER 7486). This would put the mill on the parish boundary with Aylsham which looks as if it marks old river course.
E. Rose (NAU), 31 October 1986.
