Full Description
19 November 1986. Visit by E. Rose (NAU).
Road shown on (S1) as The Green now signposted as part of Chapel Street. Now two properties.
15th-18th century and later. Built from rendered timber frame, colourwashed brick and clay lump. Roof of thatch and pantile. The main block is single storey with an attic. The parapet gable to the north facade has the initials H D formed by clamp irons. The building has a plain platband, five-light mullion and transom window and two-light casement window in the gable. To the east are lower double pile extensions. To the Mill Road side are two dormers and late openings. There is a side addition of two storeys. The building has two axial chimneystacks.
