Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a few prehistoric worked flints and identified two concentrations of prehistoric burnt and worked flints. These are indicative of prehistoric occupation. Metal-detecting in 2018 recovered a Middle Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead.

Young cereal, well weathered soil.
Context 1 general scatter. MTW CB.
Odd flints .

Context 2 at 7236 9557. MTW 77.
Concentration pot boilers sparse to moderate and few flints. On edge of peat depression 35m north to south x 30m east to west at 3.7m OD.

Context 3 at 7251 9560. MTW 78.
Concentration of flints, sparse, and few pot boilers. Spread out and over north face of slope. Also quite a few flints beyond this paced out area suggesting that this site might be a more diffuse scatter. 69m north to south x 30m east to west at 5.2m OD
