Summary

Fenland fieldwalking here in 1986 recorded pieces of building rubble and recovered sherds of medieval pottery, animal bones and shells. The nature of the building that likely stood on the raised area here was not determined.

28 November 1986. Fenland fieldwalking weathered ploughsoil.
Concentration medieval pot abundant, shell moderate, bone sparse to moderate. Building rubble also abundant. On top of slightly raised area on side of green. The silt appears to be a slightly lighter colour and the area is higher than the drove edge. 37m north-south x 34m east-west or a bit smaller at 2.8m OD. Site TYS 56.
Finds held by NCM, formerly by member of the public [1].
