Full Description
19 November 1986. Fenland fieldwalking, drilled and weathered soil.
Context 1: general scatter of pot boilers and flint not collected and no fenland number.
Context 2: at 7063 9806 odd flints projecting from peat, collected for comparative purposes. Reference NWD AE on (S1).
Context 3: at 7063 9812 concentration sparse pot boilers on greensand ridge projecting from peat. Also about two flints discarded. Area 22m (east-west) x 12m (north-south). Reference NWD 5 om (S1).
Context 4: at 7067 9800 concentration of pot boilers sparse to moderate on greensand ridge projecting from peat - ridge still almost completely covered by peat. Area 18m (north-south) x 10m (east-west) at 0.8m OD. Reference NWD 6 on (S1).
Context 5: at 7069 9798 concentration sparse pot boilers on greensand ridge projecting from peat. Area 26m (north-south) x 20m (east-west) at 1.1m OD. Reference NWD 7 on (S1).
Context 6: at 7077 9797 concentration of sparse pot boilers on greensand ridge projecting from peat. Two flints 21m (east-west) x 18m (north-south) at 1.2m OD. Reference NWD 8 on (S1).
