Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of prehistoric worked flints and one possible small concentration of prehistoric worked flints. A concentration of prehistoric burnt flints was also recorded.

3 December 1986. Fenland fieldwalking. Long field on south side of Lode.
On weathered ex potatoes.

Context 1
General scatter odd flints FWL EI.

Context 2 at 6860 9047.
Small group flints from peat covered mineral soil. Scattered over area perhaps 2m diameter. Not a Fenland 'site'. FWL EH.

Context 3 at 6870 9010.
Concentration pot boilers moderate to abundant on low loam ridge. No flints. 32m x 28m northeast to southwest at 1.4m OD. FWL 168.
