Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of fragments of Roman and prehistoric pottery and prehistoric burnt flints. A concentration of Iron Age pottery fragments was also recorded. Artefacts dating from the Neolithic to the post medieval period have also been found by field walkers and metal detectorists including Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowheads, an Iron Age La Tene I brooch, an unusual Roman dress fitting, a Saxon strap end and a post medieval French jetton.
