December 1986. Visit. East End Allotments, adjacent to track.
Railway carriage used as shed. (S1) states to date from 1920s and to have been used on the Wells to Dereham line, the photograph suggests it may be older. Only one section survives (comprising two compartments) and two others are said to have been destroyed. When seen in December 1986 it appeared to be in worse condition than the
photograph suggests and is probably not salvageable.
