NHER 23207 (Monument record) - Prehistoric finds from southwest of cut-off channel

19 December 1986. Fenland fieldwalking, drilled and weathered.

Context 1: general scatter odd flints; all flints seen were collected. Reference NWD AH on (S1) with odd pot boilers marked on map also.
Flints Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age - F. Healy (NAU).

Context 2: at 7079 9779 concentration of pot boilers moderate to abundant at end of gravelly loam ridge. 27m (northwest-southeast) x 23m (northeast-southwest) at 0.6-0.8m OD. Reference NWD 14 on (S1).

Context 3: at 7099 9786 concentration pot boilers sparse to moderate, two distinct concentrations which merge on edge of gravelly loam ridge, 54m (northwest-southeast) x 14m (northeast-southwest) at 0.6-0.9m OD. Reference NWD 15 on (S1).

Context 4: at 7102 9781 concentration sparse pot boilers on edge of gravelly loam ridge 19m (northwest-south-east) x 13m (northeast-southwest) at 0.6-0.9m OD. Reference NWD 16 on (S1).

Context 5: at 7108 9778 concentration pot boilers sparse to moderate on edge of gravelly loam ridge. Area 19m (northeast-southwest) x 16m (northwest-southeast) at 0.6-0.9m OD. Reference NWD 17 on (S1).

Context 6: at 7110 9765 concentration of pot boilers moderate on edge of gravelly loam ridge. 25m (east-west) x 16m (north-south) at 0.6-0.9m OD. Reference NWD 18 on (S1).
