Summary

This World War Two bombing decoy was built on Langley or Headley Marshes during the early part of World War Two. Fires were lit here to suggest to the German planes that incendiary bombs had already hit and set fire to parts of Norwich. The German bombs would then be fired at the decoy rather than the city. The Langley decoy was successful but was not rebuilt because it was decided it was too close to the sugar beet factory at Cantley. The exact location of the decoy is not known.
