Summary

Fenland fieldwalking here in 1986 recovered various medieval and Late Saxon pottery sherds along with fragments of shell and bone.

28 November 1986. Fenland fieldwalking, weathered soil and young cereal.
Context 1: general scatter odd medieval sherds. Site TYS CH.
Context 2: at location [1]. On edge of green. Concentration medieval pot sparse, shell sparse, couple of bone fragments. 40m north-south x 25m east-west at 3.1m OD. Site TYS 57.
Context 3: at location [2]. On very slight ridge. Concentration of Late Saxon sherds sparse to moderate, shell very sparse and bone moderate. 44m east-west x 30m north-south at 2.7m OD. Site TYS 58.
