Summary

In 1986 a prehistoric burnt mound, prehistoric flints and three undated pits were found exposed in the side of a ditch at this location.

October 1986. South of Warrens's Lane, close to and north of small stream.
Pot boiler site exposed in side of ditch between two fields, found by member of the public [1].

November 1986. Site visit by J. Wymer (NAU) and member of the public [1].
Section through pot boiler site, about 20m wide, buried by about 1.5m of lynchet soil from field to north. Two small and one wide (about 4m) pits or ditches seen in section. No dating evidence found. Pot boilers and black soil spread 31m on surface of field to south.
