Summary

A medieval coin weight depicting the paschal lamb was found during metal-detecting in 1986. In early 2003 a systematic fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey recovered undatable prehistoric, Neolithic and Bronze Age worked flints; medieval and post-medieval pottery; post-medieval clay tobacco pipe fragments; a Roman brooch and various other post-medieval and post-medieval/modern metal objects. Geophysical surveys conducted in this field around the same time identified a small number of potentially archaeologically significant linear anomalies.
