Full Description
Whitaker claims to have observed on an aerial photograph in 1959 a barrow about here.
Information from Norwich Castle Museum.
This area is covered in impenetrable scrub and bushes which could easily hide a tank, let alone a barrow, but it is in an appropriate place on the crest of a ridge.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU) 28 August 1975.
This feature shows as a white irregular ring on (S1).
It could be a ring ditch but equally well could be an old flint pit.
E. Rose (NAU)
Yes it is a pit.
A. J. Lawson (NAU) 1979.
