Summary

Fieldwalking in 1987 as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of medieval pottery and prehistoric flints from the north part of the field. Pieces of post medieval pottery were found over the entire field. Metal-detecting between 2011 and 2014 recovered Roman and post-medieval coins; a Late Iron Age harness pendant and medieval belt mount or part of a buckle.

Full Description

27 February 1987. Fenland fieldwalking. Between Sandy Lane and Rose Hill.
Well weathered sandy soil.
HLG AO.
Scatter of medieval sherds, flints, both mainly in north part of field.
Post medieval fragments across whole field.
