Summary

In 1987 prehistoric flint artefacts and Iron Age or Early Saxon pottery sherds were found on the field surface here. A further Iron Age pottery sherd was recovered in 2013/14 during metal-detecting.

On southeast slope of hillock sloping down to river valley on south and east.

8 March 1987. Found on surface of ploughed field.
Spread, about 10m across, of struck flint and ten hand made sandy sherds of Iron Age/Early Saxon type. No soil discolouration.
