Before June 1961. Stated variously to have been found in Sandy Lane, and in a garden in Swaffham Hill (local name for Swaffham Road on Ordnance Survey). Junction of two roads is in area 985 135.
Flint blade, dagger?, 46cm (4 1/4 inches) long x 3cm (1 1/4 inches) wide. Finder [1]. R. R. Clarke (NCM) was informed of discovery by [2] who identified the find, and wrote back asking for details of findspot and loan of object. No record of any reply, though it is possible that R. R. Clarke (NCM) later saw the object and decided that it was not manmade. R. R. Clarke (NCM) card found by W. Milligan (NCM), 16 March 1987.
