Full Description
Royal Observer Corps post.
Underground bunker.
Concrete building on surface, not like the usual raised platform, which may suggest that this is one of those recomissioned in 1950s (seen only from distance).
Visited E. Rose (NAU) 20 March 1987
The underground bunkers date from after 1953, and are still extant in February 1999.
E. Rose (NAU) 1 March 1999.
(S1) puts this at TG 1157 2913; which needs checking on the ground.
Known as Saxthorpe post; externally complete, interior vandalised with only one bed with three legs remaining.
Orlit A above is in good condition despite vandalism.
E. Rose (NAU) July 2000.
