Summary

Flintwall Cottage began life as two single-celled cottages of two separate builds in the 17th century. Today it is a single property of flint with brick dressings in two storeys and attics. The windows are largely 19th to 20th century, with some of cast iron, and there is a flint and brick mosaic gable towards the road.

February 1987. Listed, Grade II.
17th century. Flint and brick dressings, pantiled. Originally two single cell cottages of two builds. Two storeys and attics. Lobby entrance to right hand cell from southwest. Left hand cell with gable stack, rendered plinth, coursed brick and flint, vertical brick quoins to right, platband of five brick courses- one moulded. Right hand cell uncoursed flint, no plinth, lefthand stack now central to house. Windows 19th-20th century, some cast iron. Flint and brick mosaic gable to road. 18th century brick above eaves.
Interior- right hand cell with jewel stopped chamfered bridging beam and tiebeam over fireplace. Staicase behind fireplace. Left hand cell higher.
