Full Description
Timber framed building, apparently early 18th century but with ceiling beams of much older appearance; retarded style? Stirrup up chimney. See report (S1) in file.
E. Rose (NAU), 15 May 1987. Listed Grade II, (S2).
Stripping of building January 1988 revealed that in fact the ceilings are 17th century and 16th/17th century beams with window sockets etc.reused in house; building seems to have been constructed in 18th century around pre existing ceiling brought from elsewhere! See report (S1). Photographs (S3) in file. (S4) in file.
E. Rose (NAU), 22 January 1988.
