Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a general scatter of prehistoric worked flints and three concentrations of prehistoric burnt flints.

Rolled and weathered ploughsoil.

General scatter odd flints from field. FWL EN.

Context 2 at 6348 8823.
Moderate spread pot boilers but no flint on gravelly sandy loam slope of island. 25m northwest to southeast x 17m northeast to southwest maximum at 1.1m OD. FWL 172.

Context 3 at 6835 8831
Moderate concentration pot boilers, few flints. Southern sandy loam slope of island. Maximum 24m northwest to southeast x 19m northeast to southwest at 1.7m OD. FWL 131.

Context 4 at 6341 8830.
Sparse spread pot boilers and a few flints on gravelly sandy loam slope of island. Maximum 24m northwest to southeast x 25m at 1.5m OD. FWL 174.
