Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of prehistoric burnt and worked flints. Two small concentrations of burnt flints may be the locations of prehistoric occupation.

Odd flints across southern half of field. Not in great numbers but a fair number.

Smaller scatter of pot boilers, not a concentration 18m north to south x 16m east to west.

Context 3 at 6928 9613. MTW 137.
Sparse concentration pot boilers and few flints on east edge of the concentration. On gentle south slope of stony
chalk loam. 26m east to west x 18m north to south 1.6m OD.

Context 4 at 6941 9609. MTW 138.
Sparse concentration of pot boilers on gentle slope of stony chalky loam at 1.4m OD.
