Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of prehistoric worked flints including a Neolithic axehead. Three concentrations of prehistoric burnt and worked flint were identified and are indicative of prehistoric occupation. One of these has been tentatively dated to the Late Neolithic period. Later fieldwalking found part of an Early Neolithic polished flint axehead and other worked flints, a piece of Bronze Age pot and a piece of Roman Samian pot. No finds were recorded here when a new building was constructed.
