Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of prehistoric worked flints including a Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age knife. A concentration of prehistoric burnt flints was recorded. This may be indicative of prehistoric occupation.

Reasonably good conditions, spring barley, one section of field rolled.
Context 1. MTW EC.
Odd flints in general scatter in mineral soil across field but not many.

Context 2 at 7206 9539. MTW 131.
Concentration of pot boilers sparse to moderate, one flint (counted as context 1) on side of ridge of chalky loam. 23m northeast to southwest x 16m northwest to southeast at 1.3m OD.
