Summary

Fieldwalking in 1987 noted a spread of burnt flint in this field and recovered a Palaeolithic flint handaxe and flakes; Late Neolithic flint flakes and undatable iron slag. Metal-detecting in 2019 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval tokens and jettons; a Middle/Late Saxon Anglo-Scandinavian strap end and a medieval horse-harness pendant.

Found by [1] at Context 1:
Spread of burnt flint on slight hummock, 9m in diameter (not seen by NCM). Late Neolithic flint flakes and iron slag found about 4m away from this spread.

Found by [1] at Context 2 ([2]):
1 Palaeolithic flint handaxe of very rough flint and 2 flakes.
Finds identified by J. Wymer (NAU).
The flakes were donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1999.1.52.12).
